Grocery Shopping at Lider

The View From our porch today

I think this is so funny people just steal grocery carts and push them down the streets

The last couple of days have been a little slow due to extensive rain. It is has been great for Chase and I because we have had to study, which we keep putting off. Today however, is beautiful. We spent the morning in another TOEFL training session and have a meeting with another company today at 4:00.

Monday was a very relaxed day. We slept in then met Andrew for lunch at a cafeteria, which was an experience to say the least. Chase and I are still not exactly sure what we ate, we have no plans to return anytime soon.

After lunch we decided to go visit an art museum located close to Plaza De Armas. Plaza De Armas is a beautiful plaza with an incredible old church and other old building which encase the plaza. In the middle are hundreds of people milling (chase's word) around looking at different vendors goods.

After looking in the church we headed out for the museum. We walked for about an hour before Chase stopped to ask a security guard for directions. As we got closer we realized that it was just on the other side of Plaza De Armas. We had walked for an hour instead of walking only a couple yards to the museum. The real kicker was that museums are closed on Mondays. We will have to try again soon. Atleast this time we will know where we are going.

Yesterday like I said rained the entire day and it was freezing! Around 2:30 Chase and I were completely stir crazy so we decided to walk to the nearest grocery store, while there was a short stop in the rain. Our short walk was ended up being not so short

Upon finally getting to the store it was much larger than we expected, I would compare it to a small Walmart. Finding everything proved to be a big challenge but don't worry we had our dictionary, which we pulled out regularly. What we thought would be a short trip to the store ended up being a two hour ordeal.

We had a great time cooking and trying to figure out how to use their ovens and how too cook a full dinner with 3 pots and 2 pyrexs. The menu was red pepper bruchetta, chicken parmigian and apple crisp for dessert. We think everyone liked it!
