We Made It!

It is 10:30 am in Chile and Chase and I have just arrived in Santiago. Our travels began yesterday at 3:00 when left Chase's parents house. We arrived at IAH by 4:00, where all but one of our bags was over weight. Almost in tears because I had weighed and re packed my bags about 5 times we went to work pulling things out and handing them over to Chase's parents. Finally we made the weight limits and headed straight to the nearest bar for a cocktail, I might add that it was much needed and deserved. Saying goodbye is never easy especially since we where under pressure to pack our entire apartment and pack in two bags for a year. Our plane finally departed at 6:00 and we landed in Miami airport at 9:30 Pm in order to catch the 11:30 flight to Santiago. We flew all night and landed in Santiago at 7:30 am this morning.

John Harris, our host who offered for us a place to stay was so kind to come pick us and all our bags up at the airport. It was so nice to be some one who knows what they are doing and where they are going.

After a nice chat with John and his parents, who are also staying in the apartment till September, Chase and I decided to try to get a little organized and begin making some plans. Later this morning John's parents are going to take us for a walk and show us around on our way to lunch.

So far things are looking good it is going to be a big adjustment but we are getting more and more excited!
